Does your child have autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Rett syndrome, Angelman syndrome, or any other diagnosis that affects their communication abilities? Are you located in the Cleveland, Ohio area and wondering how to help your child communicate better? I may be able to help! My name’s Chana Feinstein, and I’m a speech therapist specializing in AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). My private practice, All Kinds of Voices, LLC, provides the following services to families:
in-home speech therapy for children and teens who have complex communication needs and have limited or no speech. (Yes! This means no driving for you, and is a great choice because services are provided in the natural home environment using the child’s regular communication partners and natural communication opportunities…therapy in the “real world.”)
AAC evaluations for families that are looking to get speech-generating devices funded through their insurance (including Medicaid). (I have a 100% success rate in getting devices funded!)
consultation services to help families learn to implement AAC systems more effectively and confidently
participation in IEP and ETR meetings when desired by the family
Prior to opening my private practice, I worked in numerous multiple disabilities classrooms (working with students in grades K-12 with a variety of diagnoses and AAC systems), and in a nonprofit clinic (where I did most of the AAC evaluations; built and maintained an AAC loaner library; and had a caseload that was almost entirely kids with complex communication needs). Helping kids with complex communication needs expand their communication skills is my passion!
If you’d like to discuss how I can help you with your AAC needs, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to speaking with you!
